2.1943 Oružnička postaja Kruševljani(Herzegowina) to Mostar
27.02.1943 official letter from Oružnička postaja(Gendarmerie station) Kruševljani, a village in Herzegovina to Krilno oružničko zapovjedništvo(Regional Gendarmerie command) in Mostar. Mailed via Nevesinje post office. Due to lack of stamps a halved 1 kuna stamp was used to add to 3,50 kuna which was rate for a letter. Also due to shortage a mix of official and regular stamps was used. Usage of halved stamps was very rare and such covers are scarce , most of such covers were sent from small post offices in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Official cancel of Oružnička postaja at the top left is barely visible. Oružništvo was Gendarmerie force in NDH, at its peak in 1943 it had 18 000 members that manned 987 stations located throughout the country.
