22.K.u.K Infanterie regiment "Graf von Lacy" - 122. Infanterie regiment

22.K.u.K Infanterie regiment "Graf von Lacy"- 122.Infanterie regiment

This was only infantry regiment in common army from Dalmatia. Units recruiting district was based in Sinj . Regiments  Headquarters was in 1914 in  Mostar, while earlier it was in Zadar(Zara) , so sometimes after units name,  name of city  Sinj or Zara in written.

Mail from unit is rare , i have seen only a couple of cards in years that i collect feldpost.

Probable Feldpost number list follows
1914: 13 GbBrig -.Fp88 , 5 GbBrig - Fp76
1915: 13 GbBrig(18.ID) -.Fp88 , 5 GbBrig(58.ID) - Fp76
1916: 13 GbBrig(18.ID) -.Fp88 , 5 GbBrig(58.ID) - Fp76
1917: 11.Armee(Fp.used unknown), 121.Inf.Brig-Fp.230, 5.Inf.Brig/57.ID - Fp.304 , 141.Inf.Brig-Fp.399 (possibly 56.Sch.div-Fp.486),  181.Inf.Brig-Fp.223, Gp.Vidossich/19.ID, Fp431
1918.113.Inf.Brig/57.ID - Fp.304.

During reformation of army in late 1917/early 1918 , new regiment 122.IR was formed from parts of  22.IR and 97.IR . Regiment was made up of  batallions  V/IR 97, II/IR 22 and  III/IR 22
122.IR recruited in  Dalmatia and  Istria, and soldiers were mostly  Croats.

1918. 122.IR/ 114.Inf.brig/ 57.ID :  Fp.304 (mail seen)

(Due to constant movement of units mail with other Fp.number is possible).

12.1915 letter to Zagreb from IR.22  Fp.88 13.Gebirgs Brigade.
